Connect your smartphone to your TV: 4 possibilities

1.Use a micro USB to HDMI Cable

You can connect your Android phone or tablet to your TV using an HDMI cable!

Notice that you have to make sure that the HDMI performance is enabled by your Android system. Most characters think this would be the case, but this feature is only available on some smartphones.

Don’t fret if you aren’t sure. The portion below can be skipped and transferred to the wireless communication segment.

What cables do I need?

From the above list, you can see that on Android devices there are two types of HDMI output ports. The USB-C port is used by most newer smartphones as the HDMI output port. A Micro USB MHL port is used in some tablets. (MHL stands for High-Definition Connection Mobile.)

Micro USB to HDMI Cable (MHL Cable)

If you have a phone with an MHL port, such as the LeTV Le Max Pro, or the older HTC One or HTC One XL, a Micro USB to HDMI cable will normally come with a (MHL Cable). That is what you need to connect to your TV with an MHL-enabled Android phone.

Connect your phone or tablet to the Micro USB to the HDMI cable (MHL Cable) and then connect the other end to your TV’s HDMI input port and you’re fine to go

USB Type-C to HDMI Cable

The HDMI output cable is typically not produced by manufacturers for smartphones with a USB-C port, and you would prefer to buy either an official accessory cable or a third-party accessory, such as a USB-C-to-HDMI adapter.

It would be as easy as attaching the cable through the USB-C port of your phone and the other end to your TV’s HDMI input port once you have the cable. It’s the same as the MHL process.

2.Use your WiFi or Bluetooth

There are various ways of connecting your phone via HDMI ports to your smart TV and connecting it to your smart television.

I encourage you to explore wireless connectivity of your computer to your TV. You would be shocked to see how easy it is if you did not check it.

Since WiFi networks today are virtually universal in households, linking your Android phone or tablet wirelessly with a network is much simpler than via HDMI ports. You are halfway there if your TV and device are both wired to the same Wi-Fi network.

Check out any of these processes.

Using a Google Chromecast

Google Chromecast is one of the best screens for Android on Telev. There are smart TVs that can communicate with your Wi-Fi network via internal hardware and features. However, there are also flat-screen TVs that do not provide Internet access.

Using MiraCast technology

Miracast is an older standard wireless display which enables you to wirelessly link your handset to your TV. Miracast is a technology for screen mirroring that was used on Android 4.2 or earlier smartphones, and luckily, many older smart TVs still have Miracast capability.

The first thing to verify is that your TV and your mobile both help cast – and you will need to look at its official documents for this. When you’ve checked that both will access it, so you’re on your way.

For screen reflection to function, both your TV and your cell phone must be wired to the same Wi-Fi network. Then activate the “Wireless display” option on your smartphone or press “Cast” on the Fast Settings of Android.

This will show you a list of the displays you can link to with the Miracast. You have to pick your TV. Then you can cast your phone through screen mirroring to your TV show.

3.Use an HDMI to AV/RCA Converter

The only legitimate excuse to connect your mobile to your TV using the AV cable (also known as the RCA cable or composite cable) is that you have regular HDMI-free box-type TVs.

This system works for you if you have an old CRT or flat-screen TV with no HDMI port for the input. In this case, the AV/composite port is the only one you can on your TV, so you would have to build it.

However, a little note. YouTube has several videos saying that you did this – and it does, technically, work. But it could not succeed, either. There is a possibility.

What tools do you need?

Firstly, you’re going to need a phone with an HDMI output option, so you can check the list I’ve provided above, or whether your phone has it with your manufacturer. You will have to have an HDMI output cable – via USB-C or MHL. (See above for HDMI)

Third, you would require a video converter from HDMI to composite. These are devices from third parties which you can obtain from your nearest radio shack or from Amazon or eBay online.

What is it doing? What is it? Your phone will output high-definition (HD) video, but an older television will not have access to the technology, and will not view it on its SD display. You need a gadget that downsizes your phone’s HD performance to an SD signal that your television recognizes and can view.

Finally, for connecting your video converter to the TV, you’ll need an AV cord.

You’ve got the tools, now make it happen

This is meant to work in theory. But the amount of items between your phone or tablet and your older TV is equal to the number of points where the process is not successful.

To continue, the converter is connected to your phone by connecting a standard HDMI output cable and an HDMI input port. The converter is then attached via the AV/composite cable to your old Telev.

Check if the video output is still available on your old TV display, and you pick the AV input on your TV.

4.Use Bluetooth

It’s a treat here. Some smart televisions have Bluetooth streams that allow you to view videos and use your smartphone or tablet applications to put them on television. While the cast element is not all Smart TVs.

In addition, Smart TVs typically accept a Bluetooth audio streaming link. You might want to link to your TV that obviously has a stronger sound system if you play music from an application like Spotify.

You should pair your mobile with your TV in this situation. There shouldn’t be a complicated connection to your mobile or a smart TV with Bluetooth.

In certain situations, you can use your smartphone as a remote control unit or a game controller using Bluetooth to connect your smartphone with a TV.

In conclusion

You can use an Android smartphone and a TV to create a lot of fun stuff at very little cost. Typically, if people are searching for ways to connect Android phones to TVs, they want a wider monitor and sound system for the content they usually access through their phones.

But the connection between telephone and TV isn’t confined to that. If you want to turn your handset into a universal remote device, your Android device can be completely reached.

You can do it too if you want to play a music video while you are playing in the living room. The key is to get the tools you need to produce the performance that you desire and to expect the tool you need.
